This maple sugaring open house leads visitors to the Center’s working sugarhouse where they can observe sap being boiled into delicious maple syrup. Participants will learn about the entire process from collecting sap from the trees to bottling the finished product, as well as Audubon’s conservation work in creating bird friendly maple syrup and maintaining healthy forests.
Fresh, homemade maple baked goods will also be available for purchase during the day as part of the Maple Bake Sale. Each treat will be made with pure maple syrup as an ingredient! Depending on production, fresh syrup will be available for purchase in the Sharon Audubon Center Nature Store while supplies last.
Dress warm and wear boots, as the entire tour is outdoors and trails are often muddy or snow covered.
